I really wish I had thought to change the color settings when I took this picture. As it is, it seems bleak and winter-y. The point of the picture is the opposite. It was amazing today. I took this picture at Qianshui Bay up in San Zhi on the north coast of Taiwan. San Zhi is known in popular culture as the place where the (now demolished) Pod Houses once stood. As it is, Qianshui Bay is only about a little over a mile to where the Pod Houses once stood ( Read more... )

This one is from yesterday as well. It's from the gardens at Yangmingshan National Park here in Taipei. The sun was shining, the air was warm, and the flowers were blooming. I came at cherry blossom time, which was fortunate. The park was packed, but on the hiking trails there were very few people. It was lovely.
